What’s Your story? How do you Evoke Your Story?

When you design your story and engage in every part of your life, you start speaking from the core of who you are with purpose. Work gets easier, it's clear, it's fun, and you're in a more effective leader.

In order to evoke and design your desired leadership story, you need to know what your values are. I’ve lined up a few questions that will help you to better understand your values:

What gets you fired up and passionate?

What needs are non-negotiable to be your very best self?

What moves you?

Who or what inspires you?

What stories do you tell about that?

What is your center? There must be something special inside. Look closer, what do you see?

What are you uniquely put into the world for?

What makes you so fierce that you can't help but protect this thing in the world? What is your unique thing?

In order to express your story, and then work to protect it. In order to fully engage in it, you must know what needs to be expressed. Where are you feeling confined? What parts of your life need a voice? What is suffocated?

We’re getting closer to creating your story, can you feel it?

To make this even more real, I encourage you to print this out and write out or draw out your answers so that you can see them concretely, visually in front of you. This will help them to come to life before your eyes. Then once you have written out the answers to your story write two ways you will protect your story and how you will take action to do so.

Has this helped you build your story?

P.S. I’d love to read your story if you want to share it in the comments.  Also, if you are willing, share what two actions you will take to protect your story. I’d love to learn more about you and if this blog was helpful to you!
