Rue Freeman

Rue Freeman, EDPMA, WFR, Wilderness Instructor/ Admin, Mom of humans and animals.

Life is an adventure. Adventure can be found in the outdoors, the family, the mind, body, arts and everywhere imaginable.

Rue has spent more than 25 years leading Outdoor Education and Outdoor Adventure trips and nearly that same number of years focusing on the power of the personal learning experience. She believes strongly in the story the mountains, rivers and valleys have to tell. To step away from the busy and discover the ‘real world’ is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. Prioritizing the experience instead of the task, to find beauty in successes, failures, the unexpected and your companions is a gift indeed.

With nature as a teacher we can find our best selves over and over again.  Every expedition has it’s big and it’s quiet moments and to keep exploring and adventuring we need both. Rue’s intention is to set a safe and unique experience that encourages transference of learnings from the course to daily life and back.

When Rue is not working, she is boating, skiing, hiking, going to concerts and chilling with her family and friends, or on her own.

4 days and 3 nights in the Rawah Wilderness, Northern Colorado. Price includes backpacking EQUIPMENT, FOOD and TRANSPORTATION provided from Fort Collins, Co.
